and Mardis were scoring the ball at a high level. Mardis certainly doesn’t lack confidence and fired away early and often from long distance. While perimeter shooting was Mardis favorite way to score, he also attacked a couple closeouts finishing once with his right hand and once with his left hand while I was at his game. Talented scoring guard who could take Grayson County to the next level.

Mardis is one of the first big transfers of the summer as he is headed from LaRue County to Grayson County. For LaRue, Jagger was arguably the most important piece of the roster as he averaged 16 points per game with impressive shooting splits of 51/43/81. Not just a shooter anymore, Mardis has developed his game to be a true three level scorer and his addition to the Grayson County roster makes them a big time contender to get to Rupp Arena.

A player who has been overlooked, Jagger moves up ten spots from 38th to 28th overall and could climb higher. LaRue needs him to step up and take over the void left from Daniel Allen graduating this spring. Mardis is a true three level scorer that can get hot from any spot on the court and is at his best attacking the rim, especially in transition.

Mardis is having a big season and is close to joining the 50/40/90 club as he’s shooting 45/39/85 and averaging 18 points per game for a LaRue County that is firmly in the mix to win the 5th region. Jagger is one of the higher scoring Sophomores in the state and his numbers will only go up in the next couple of seasons.

Mardis showed again why he needs to be considered as one of the top prospects in the 2026 class in Kentucky as he just filled up the box score. Mardis is a high volume shooter that can really score in every way possible both off the catch and dribble. He made a ton of tough shots vs North Laurel and clearly wasn’t afraid of the moment. I would have liked for a little bit better shot selection at times but it is hard to poke holes in his game. The next step he will need to take is becoming a more consistent scorer around the rim. Love his game.

Featured in our biggest risers article earlier this month, Jagger is a versatile attacker who can score the ball at a high level from anywhere on the court. Mardis is a name to track in the 5th region and LaRue County is loaded for the near future with strong classes in 2026 and 2027.

The biggest overall mover in this update, Mardis climbs from 69 to 31st and is trending upward, long term. A good scorer who has shown he can produce a lot of points playing on or off the ball, Jagger had a breakout season for LaRue and should be one of the top scorers in this 2026 class for the next several seasons.

Mardis is playing like an upperclassmen for not having a ton of varsity post season experience under his belt. He made a couple clutch 3’s from distance and helped both Allen and Childress in the scoring column. These 3 can score just as good as any team in the state, but if Mardis is making shot from 3, this team becomes extra dangerous.
