Michael Ray Stinnett Michael Ray Stinnett 6'3" | SG/SF Fairdale | 2027 State KY ranks among the top five in the state in three-pointers per game at 4.0, shooting an impressive 50% from deep while going 88-for-176 on the season. He is one of the premier shooters in the state. Stinnett does an excellent job of creating separation and, once he gets a look, wastes no time getting the shot off. He has deep range but remains highly efficient, making him a constant threat from anywhere beyond the arc.

A nearly 50% shooter from 3, Stinnett has a quick release and knows how to get open. He’s got an early offer from Brescia but I would expect D2 and higher schools to be interested after Michael Ray was one of the best shooters in the 3SSB this year.

I like the depth of 2027 talent Fairdale has with a few different guys who can impact the game in different ways. Stinnett is one of the elite shooters in Kentucky and made shots efficiently on Wednesday against two of the better teams from the Cincinnati area. Able to extend his range a few feet beyond the 3-point arc, Stinnett is a guard opposing defenses must locate early in possessions. Like I mentioned early about Fairdale’s 2027 depth, a handful of prospects will draw college interest from this group and the KABC live period is a great place to draw some interest for their group.

One of the best pure shooters in the state, Michael Ray thrives at getting open and knocking down shots from the perimeter. Moving forward, Stinnett has to get more comfortable off the bounce and getting to the rim. If the 6’3 shooter can improve his lateral quickness on defense, he’ll see colleges starting to show him some love this summer.

Stinnett is known for his shooting and is knocking down 44% of his threes this season. For Fairdale to put together enough complete games to win the hyper competitive 6th region, Michael Ray will need to be at his best. With teams scouting him to shoot it, Stinnett would be more of a problem to guard if he got more active off the bounce in the coming month. And he’s a good free throw shooter who could thrive off getting those opportunities.

As a Sophomore, Michael Ray hit 51% of his threes and made 4 per game. Now that he’s playing with Ferlandes Wright Ferlandes Wright 6'8" | PF La Lumiere | 2027 #56 Nation IN and Kamari Roberts Kamari Roberts 6'1" | PG Fairdale | 2027 State KY , expect Stinnett to get even more open looks from the perimeter.
