The host Louisville Fairdale got a big time victory to wrap up the opening night of action as they had six players score eight points or more in the victory. Butler was an athletic mismatch in the paint, making some impressive finishes at the rim by using his length and explosiveness. Butler rolled hard to the rim off screens, ran the floor and had a nice spin move that led to an easy finish at the rim. Combine that impact with a game-high 11 rebounds and Butler was an easy choice for top performer from the hosts.

Butler is a tall and athletic wing forward who plays hard and continues to improve. Standing 6’6 and very athletic, Jarel is a late bloomer who continues to grow and is also adding to his skill set as time goes along. A good rebounder who also offers some rim protection, Butler is a player who will make a big move in our next rankings update and could end up getting some college interest before the AAU season ends.

A big time athlete, Butler is a high-flying forward who used his athleticism and high energy to score in the paint and grab offensive rebounds. I thought Butler did a nice job of making himself available in the dunker spot to score above the rim and also was opportunistic with layups in transition. Lots of upside long term with Butler who is starting to turn the corner as a prospect and is set for a massive rankings spike during the next update.
