Stephan has seen his stock take off more than anyone in the state in the last 2 years. From relative obscurity to signing as a D1 player, Jackson has had a really impressive career at Henry Clay. He’s already got a college-ready body and is a great rebounder for a guard. He’s committed to the Air Force Academy.
Jackson is the only player in the state currently to be a top 50 scorer (#50) and top rebounder (#14). He does the little things without seeking all the flashy attention. A Hard worker and a leader, Jackson averaged 20.8 points per game and averaged 10.7 rebounds per game. He had a great week with 4 straight wins: beating top team Bryan Station with 22 points and 8 rebounds, Scott County 28 points and 12 rebounds, Dunbar 25 points and 19 rebounds, and Lafayette 22 points and 8 rebounds.
Jackson did not have a huge scoring day on Saturday but he did fill the stat sheet for the Blue Devils. Stephan had a rough shooting day, going 4/16 from the field overall. He led Henry Clay in scoring and rebounding and made his presence known all over the court.
Recently committed to Air Force, Jackson is a big time wing scorer who is a good shooter and continues to improve at his ability to create for his teammates with the ball in his hands. Stephan doesn’t dominate the ball like some other players and is also a contributor on the rebounding side of things. Henry Clay will need Jackson to continue improving for them to be a big factor in the regional title race.
A bigger wing who relies on IQ and shot making more than raw athleticism, Jackson had a really strong season for Henry Clay and has continued his momentum into the AAU season. Stephan is a good shooter who has been forced to put his team on his back at times in his high school career. Expect Jackson to be the leader and go to scorer for a Blue Devil roster that just graduated 8 Seniors. I’m interested to see if he plays some more point guard this summer for Henry Clay.
I thought Stephan was really solid all weekend for his team. A wing forward who is going to come in and make open shots, play hard, move the basketball and just contribute to winning basketball. Not much more to add about Stephan’s game, he’s a very valuable role player at the grassroots level which should make him a priority recruit for scholarship programs because they can already see what he could bring as a freshman at the next level.
Stephan is coming off a Junior season where he had really solid numbers and started to get in the mix as a top 5 player in the 11th region, heading into his Senior season. Averaging 17 and 8 with splits of 46/33/73 is impressive and he could boost all those numbers even higher next season.
The game between Henry Clay and Madison Central required overtime to determine a winner and once the extra frame hit, Stephan took over and willed his team to victory. A wing who can knock down open shots, score in transition as a lob threat and attack off the bounce, Stephan showed his full offensive package on Thursday night. One of the more productive 2026 wings I’ve seen in Kentucky, Stephan showed more ball handling ability than I saw from him as a Sophomore as he continues to fill out his body and develop an all-around offensive game. Senior Hassan Bush also made some key plays for Henry Clay in the win.
Stephan possesses a well-rounded skill set. He can drain shots from deep or score over defenders around the basket. He sets up his teammates with quick decisions and accurate passes. His size and athleticism enable him to grab rebounds at a high rate.
Jackson had an up and down Sophomore season at Henry Clay and has been quiet in AAU thus far but has the potential to blow up in his Junior year for a Henry Clay team that will need him to be very productive. Stephan has the potential to be the leading scorer in all of the 11th region this upcoming season.
