While his team didn’t earn the victory, Grubb gave it all he had. He suffered an injury about a month ago. While, he still isn’t 100%, he took the floor and wanted to win. He led his team in scoring with 14 points and played ferocious defense. Shoutout to Adon! This shows a lot about his character and who he is as a player. He will give you 110% no matter what!

Adon has been nursing a foot injury for the past couple weeks. However, in his first appearance in nearly two weeks against the Jackson County Generals Adon had five points and nine rebounds in a minute restriction. He is super athletic and can knock down shots from anywhere on the court. If Adon is healthy, this will be a fun game to watch!

Talk about an athlete! Adon is very athletic and is not afraid to show it. Adon crashes the boards on both ends of the floor. He can jump out of the gym, this helps him achieve easy put-back dunks. If Adon gets a defensive rebound and pushes in transition, he is a dangerous man! He is averaging right at 10 RPG.

Grubb burst on the scene for Clay County last year and rode his momentum into a very strong AAU season. Adon is an explosive athlete who plays with a relentless motor. He’s a player who could elevate Clay County’s ceiling and make them a factor in the regional title race.

Grubb is one of the better athletes in the mountain area and is consistently above the rim. A nightly double-double last season, Adon makes his biggest impact with his energy and effort on the court. He’s got to continue to improve ball handling and overall skill level but Grubb projects as a scholarship level player.

Grubb has been responsible for some exciting highlights this AAU season with his playing above the rim. He impacts winning in a big way in both AAU and high school with his tendency to get double-doubles nearly every time out. As with a lot of “mountain” players, I hope to see Adon in a setting with other top Kentucky kids and see him compete at a high level.

Grubb has been a breakout player for Kentuckiana Hoops on the NXT circuit this spring. He’s not going to blow you away with his size but Adon is an explosive vertical athlete at 6’4″-6’5″. Grubb had games of 20/13 and 17/10 in back to back contests and has been pretty consistent in both scoring and rebounding for coach Scotty Sprigg all season.
