Marsh had a nice game for Ky Future Elite as I was most impressed with his ability to crash the glass and play strong in the paint. The ball seemed to find Marsh as he collected a handful of offensive rebounds over taller players and did a nice job moving without the ball to get easy looks. Basketball can be a simple game and when you move into the right spaces on the court, the ball can reward you with easy opportunities to help your team.

One of the best Juniors in the 11th region, Marsh is fresh off of a season where he averaged 15 points and 6 rebounds for a Lafayette team that had a good year. Ben is a stocky guard who can get to the rim early and often over the course of the game. Despite not shooting the three at a high clip this season, Marsh still shot over 51% from the field this past season. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Ben is the 11th region player of the year next season.

A standout at a couple of camps I attended this summer, Marsh is having a fine start to his Junior season. He’s moving from 151st overall to 100th and could continue trending up if he can improve his three point shooting over the course of this season. What impressed me the most about Ben when I saw him earlier this month was how hard he played. He has a great motor and was consistently attacking the rim over the course of the game.
