Toughest Sectional: Sectional 8 at Noblesville High School

Rinse and repeat. Sectional 8 is always one of the toughest across the entire state of Indiana and that will be the case one again this year. Fishers has been to back-to-back Class 4A State Championship games winning it all in 2024 and finishing as the Runner-Up in 2025. They will enter this season as one of the favorites to return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Meanwhile, Noblesville and Westfield have serious cases to be included in the Class 4A Top 10 while Carmel and Hamilton Southeastern expect to be very competitive this season as well. Zionsville certainly isn't an easy out either. It is very possible that by Sectional time this field features five of the Top 25 teams in the state.

State Title Contenders

Crown Point: The Bulldogs will enter the 2025-2026 as the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 4A #1 team in the state. They feature a pair of Division I signees in [player_tooltip player_id='1561445' first='Mason' last='Darrell'] (Bellarmine) and [player_tooltip player_id='1561617' first='Dikembe' last='Shaw'] (Illinois-Chicago) along with a host of other college prospects. Crown Point is incredibly well coached, have a depth of talent, and have the top end guys necessary to win it all. Also, for whatever it is worth, they went 4-0 in the toughest pool at the Charlie Hughes Showcase over the summer.

South Bend St. Joseph: Fresh off of a Class 3A State Championship, South Bend St. Joseph will run it back with a very familiar core at the Class 4A level. Despite making the jump in class this is without a doubt one of the top contenders. Notre Dame signee [player_tooltip player_id='2024513' first='Nick' last='Shrewsberry'] and point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1560973' first='Ethan' last='Roseman'] are back alongside junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140359' first='Elijah' last='King'] and a plethora of other talented players. This group will be tough to beat.

Fishers: [player_tooltip player_id='2267046' first='Jason' last='Gardner Jr.'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] are an incredible 59-2 in their two-year career in the backcourt at Fishers High School. Those two junior guards, teamed up with senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1509229' first='Kai' last='McGrew'], will make the Tigers incredibly tough to beat once again. Until someone can knock Fishers out they deserve to be mentioned among the favorites to reach Gainbridge Fieldhouse once again.
