Indiana’s 2026 Mr. Basketball Award winner is also the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 4A Player of the Year. This was a very easy decision. Ertel led Mt. Vernon (Fortville) to a Class 4A State Championship this season while averaging 24.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. The Purdue signee had 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists in the state championship game.
