There are very few players in the Class of 2028 that put the ball in the basket the way that Hardiman can. He is a creative, crafty driver and finisher with length and quickness off of the bounce. Hardiman, a rising junior at Merrillville High School, poured in 29 points in a game on Saturday afternoon.

At the end of the day basketball is about putting the ball in the basket. There are very few rising juniors in Indiana who do that as well as this 6’2″ guard from Merrillville High School. Hardiman especially got going during a stretch in the second quarter, but was a consistent factor all game long for the winning team. He finished with 16 points.

Hardiman took part in this game as a freshman as well. The 6’4″ long, lean guard from Merrillville High School finished with 16 points and 5 rebounds on 7-11 shooting to help lead the North All-Stars to a win on Monday night. He is so good at getting to the rim, showcasing a tight handle and some explosiveness when finishing.

While it took him a little bit to get going and he struggled to get his shot to fall, Hardiman eventually caught his stride and finished with 17 points in the loss to Northridge. Hardiman has so much length, making him such a tough matchup for any perimeter defender with his ability to take you off the dribble and score above the rim. Tons of potential in his game.

One of the state’s best scorers in the sophomore class, Hardiman led Merrillville in scoring once again on Tuesday afternoon with 18 points in a tough 62-55 loss to Charlestown. It was a tough trip to the Phil Cox Memorial Holiday Tournament for the Pirates, but Hardiman continues to prove himself as one of the top prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2028.

His combination of speed, length, and athleticism made him an impossible cover in the 3v3. His quick first step helped him get to the basket where he was able to finish efficiently. Just a lengthy 6’3” guard that is wired to score.
