One of the highest-rated prospects who participated in the Phil Cox Memorial Tournament at Kokomo HS last Tuesday was Charles Hardiman Charles Hardiman 6'3" | SG Merrillville | 2028 State IN of Merrillville HS. While it took him a little bit to get going and he struggled to get his shot to fall, Hardiman eventually caught his stride and finished with 17 points in the loss to Northridge. Hardiman has so much length, making him such a tough matchup for any perimeter defender with his ability to take you off the dribble and score above the rim. Tons of potential in his game.

One of the state’s best scorers in the sophomore class, Hardiman led Merrillville in scoring once again on Tuesday afternoon with 18 points in a tough 62-55 loss to Charlestown. It was a tough trip to the Phil Cox Memorial Holiday Tournament for the Pirates, but Hardiman continues to prove himself as one of the top prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2028.

One of the top performers at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp, Charles Hardiman Charles Hardiman 6'3" | SG Merrillville | 2028 State IN had it going as soon as he stepped on the floor. His combination of speed, length, and athleticism made him an impossible cover in the 3v3. His quick first step helped him get to the basket where he was able to finish efficiently. Just a lengthy 6’3” guard that is wired to score.

The highest ranked prospect to attend our Sophomore ID Camp, Hardiman did what he does best on Sunday…score the basketball. He is seemingly impossible to stop when he gets a head of steam downhill to the rim. Hardiman is so quick and covers a lot of ground with his first step. As he attacks the basket he fluidly changes direction and is slippery off of the bounce consistently knifing his way through defenders to the rim. His outside shot continues to progress as well which will only put more pressure on opposing defenses. Hardiman had a massive freshman season at Merrillville in terms of scoring the basketball and is poised for yet another big year.

One of the highest ranked prospects that will be in attendance for our Sophomore ID Camp, Hardiman is ranked #7 in the Class of 2028 by us here at Prep Hoops Indiana. One of the best pure scorers in the class, Hardiman put up an impressive 15.5 points per game as a freshman at Merrillville High School. The 6’2″ guard is aggressive offensively, can create his own shot from all levels, and is growing as a playmaker. We are excited to have him at our event.

At 6’3, Charles Hardiman Charles Hardiman 6'3" | SG Merrillville | 2028 State IN will be one of the highest rated prospects in the gym on Saturday at the Indiana State Elite Camp. He is a talented scorer from Merrillville High School, he is a microwave type of scorer with elite quickness both on and off the ball. One of the best offensive threats we have in the in-state class of 2028.

This talented scorer from Merrillville High School played a big part in a second half run for the North All-Stars that eventually clinched the victory. Hardiman displayed his microwave scoring ability putting up 18 points on 7-10 shooting from the field and 4-5 shooting from beyond the arc. He was one of the top freshman scorers in the state this past season, but really shines in wide-open offensive settings like we saw on Monday night.
