Nasir was awesome! This young man was great at every facet of the game. Whether it was scoring, rebounding or defending, Nasir was a serious problem for the opposition. He was the unquestioned top player of team 9. He’s a smooth playing small forward who knows when he needs to pick up his scoring. He started game two by involving his teammates with crisp passes. Some were flashy, some were traditional. All effectively led to high percentage shots. As the game went on Nasir took over the scoring and rebounding load for the team. His aggression on offense led to multiple attacks to the basket, three three-pointers, a couple of dunks and scores in transition. Nasir forced multiple steals with great defense on the perimeter. He also had a number of chase down blocks on opposing players from behind. He’s a great young talent who still has more growth to gain in his game or stature. Nasir has the potential to be one of the best players in the 2030 class. Time will tell!!

It should come as no surprise that one of the de facto top prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2030 was a top performer at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Faniel utilized his unique combination of positional size, athleticism, and skill to dominate throughout the event. He is so fluid in the open floor, explosive as a driver in the half court, and has serious upside as a backcourt/wing defender. It was clear once again on Sunday that this Merrillville freshman is one of the best not just in the state, but in the Midwest.

One of Indiana’s best Class of 2030 prospects quickly established himself as one of the best prospects in the gym on Saturday at Ball State Elite Camp. The 6’5″ guard had a poster-worthy dunk early on in the event and then continued to attack the basket with authority. He is so smooth and fluid off of the bounce for a young guard his size. It is easy to see why Faniel is considered among the best incoming freshmen in the state.

Faniel is among the conversation to be the top prospect in Indiana’s Class of 2030. He has such a unique combination of athleticism, positional size, and skill level for his age. We’ve seen him excel with Merrillville High School in June, on the AAU Circuit throughout the summer, and at the Desmond Bane Elite Camp. Faniel will be in attendance at our upcoming Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.

Having now seen many, if not all, of the most talented incoming freshmen in Indiana it is clear that Faniel is among the Top 5. The long, athletic, 6’5″ guard has such an impressive combination of positional size, athleticism, and skill for a Class of 2030 prospect. He was a dominant force on the defensive end of the floor on Monday at the Desmond Bane Elite Camp consistently using his length to be disruptive in the gaps and passing lanes. Faniel then flashed his playmaking ability in transition after forcing turnovers. He is clearly one of the top in-state Class of 2030 prospects and will play his freshman season at Merrillville High School.

Defensively created havoc in the back court in last game of squads day. Used length effectively getting tips on the ball and created mis matches for turnovers while trapping. Scoring wise could get it done on 3 levels. Knocked down catch and shoot opportunities and helped stretch the lead out. Poised handler for size. After 1st half lead all scorers with 10. Solid asset to a skilled overall team.

Shooting guard with Vikings United , Nasir uses long, fluid strides to get downhill and into the paint. While his ball skills are still raw, there’s a clear foundation to build on, and it’s easy to project growth as he matures. He embraces contact on drives, showing both physical toughness and a competitive edge that stands out. With continued development of his handle and decision-making, he could become a dynamic slasher.

Faniel was a dynamic playoomaker in the 13U division. At 5’10”, the big guard stood out for his speed with the ball and excellent vision. He wasa two-way asset, inititating offense and leading the charge in full court pressure. His ability to defend multiple positions and anticipate plays gave Vikings United a noticeable edge whenever he was on the court.
