Another one of the talented incoming freshmen at Merrillville High School, Thomas certainly deserves top performer honors for his play at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. The 6’0″ guard has a smooth jump shot that keeps defenses honest out on the perimeter, but then can explode downhill and finish at the rim. His ball skill makes it very difficult for opposing defenders to ever feel comfortable guarding him. Look for him to make an instant impact in the Merrillville backcourt.

Merrillville High School has a trio of very talented freshman guards coming into the program with Thomas being one of them. The 6’1″ left-handed playmaker was very good in the game we watched at Ball State Elite Camp. He has some physicality about him in the backcourt showcasing the ability to play through contact and finish against size at the rim. Thomas shot it in from the perimeter, created opportunities for his teammates off of the bounce, and finished at the end of his drives. He is one of the top Class of 2030 talents in Indiana.

Yet another talented incoming freshman guard at Merrillville High School, we’ve been able to see Thomas have some strong moments throughout the summer. He is an explosive playmaker off of the dribble with impressive downhill quickness that he uses to consistently get paint touches. Thomas has the ability to create his own scoring opportunities and can make plays for his teammates. Look for him to be part of a very talented and young Merrillville High School backcourt.
