Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo - Top Performers, Part One

All of our events at Prep Hoops Indiana generate a lot of attention across the state. However, the growth of The Expo is a major point of pride for our team as we wrap up the summer. This year we doubled the size of the event bringing in nearly 120 prospects in the Classes of 2027 and 2028. Also, more than just the raw numbers, the level of talent was very impressive. We hosted over 40 Top 100 prospects today and had college coaches from the Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels in attendance. This was truly one of the best exposure events of the year that you could attend as a prospect.   As always, we will be unleashing a ton of content over the next week or so coming out of The Expo. We will have evaluations of every player in attendance post on a team-by-team basis. Also, top performers, new names, and more will be highlighted. Here are some of the top performers that caught our attention at Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo. He can create off of the dribble at a very high level, is an explosive athlete, and shoots it well both from the mid-range and from beyond the arc. Baymon was excellent at The Expo showcasing himself as one of the top scorers at the event. He has definitely continued to prove himself since returning to Indiana and will be shooting up our prospect rankings now that we have been able to see him play more. It will be interesting to see where his recruiting winds up in the coming months.     We actually had the opportunity to see DeRossett twice on Sunday. First, he was at the 3Stripes Fall League and then he was dominating at Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo. The 6'5" left-handed guard made some excellent shots off of the bounce from three-point range and flashed his athleticism as a finisher when driving to the baskte. DeRossett also threw some great passes which just added another dimension to his game. He has the requisite size and athleticism on the perimeter to be a very projectable prospect. His shooting ability should eventually bring Division I attention his way. Look for him to have a big year as a junior at Fort Wayne Snider High School.     One of the top prospects in attendance at Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo was this 6'2" guard from Merrillville High School. Hardiman is an excellent pure scorer who simply always finds ways to put the ball in the basket. He is a very aggressive driver with long arms and a shifty handle that he uses to get to the rim. We also saw him knock in some pull-up jump shots on Sunday. Division I programs should continue to monitor him closely over the next couple of years. The offensive talent and length on the perimeter is certainly there for him to be an intriguing prospect.     Event after event this senior guard from Batesville High School continues to impress us. The 6'4" left-handed guard shoots it at a high-level from beyond the arc, creates his own looks in the mid-range, and has the athleticism to finish up around the rim at the end of his drives. He had an excellent summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy'] following his breakout junior season at Batesville High School. Hughes should put up some big time numbers again as a senior and will be highly sought after by Division II, Division III, and NAIA schools.     One of the more physical wings at Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo, Moore had a lot of success attacking the basket off of the bounce both in the half court and in transition. His strength allows him to play through contact and finish at a high percentage at the rim. Moore had announced that he would transfer to Leo for his junior season, but ultimately decided to remain at Bishop Luers. The Knights should once again be a tough team to beat in the Fort Wayne area. This 6'3" versatile wing will be a big part of their success. Expect to see a big junior year from Moore.     Page played as well on Sunday as anyone in the gym. The 6'2" guard from Sheridan High School absolutely shot the lights out from beyond the arc which is certainly no surprise coming from one of Indiana's premier shot-makers. He was shooting it in consistently during both three-on-three and five-on-five play. Page also has some physicality and strength off of the dribble that he uses when attacking closeouts to finish around the basket. His offensive skill set allows him to be effective from all levels and spots on the floor. Look for him to be one of the top scorers and three-point shooters in the state this season as a senior. He continues to be a highly sought after small college prospect.     This 6'5" forward from Kokomo High School is playing at a high level of late. We saw some really good things from him when attending a practice at Kokomo recently and he backed it up on Sunday at Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo. Nash excels due to his versatility. He is a very good ball handler and passer, but can also bully smaller defenders with his strength and physicality. We saw him get up above the rim on Sunday as well showcasing an added pop of athleticism to his game. There is a lot of two-way upside to Nash's game.     We continue to be big fans of this 6'6" forward from Greewood Community High School. He is an excellent athlete which he really utilizes on the glass. Reynolds is a great rebounder who can go get them outside of his area and regularly is up above the fray to pull them down. His activity level on Sunday at The Expo led to a bunch of rebounds, but he also was very effective offensively. He can drive it right from the perimeter in a straight line, run the floor in transition, and is a crafty finisher when he gets a catch in the paint. Reynolds as a lot of upside as a bouncy forward at the next level and it will be interesting to see where his recruitment ultimately lands in the coming months.
