This 6’5″ forward from Kokomo High School is playing at a high level of late. We saw some really good things from him when attending a practice at Kokomo recently and he backed it up on Sunday at Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo. Nash excels due to his versatility. He is a very good ball handler and passer, but can also bully smaller defenders with his strength and physicality. We saw him get up above the rim on Sunday as well showcasing an added pop of athleticism to his game. There is a lot of two-way upside to Nash’s game.

DJ Nash impressed me with his size, frame and ability to drunk. Big and tall.  Is an exceptional rebounder, boxes out effectively and goes up for the ball. Well-put-together player with long arms that make it difficult to shoot over. Good dribble-and-drive to the basket. Really good player on defense.

One of the top prospects in the state that I had a chance to get eyes on over the weekend was DJ Nash DJ Nash 6'5" | SF/PG Kokomo | 2028 State IN out of Kokomo HS. Nash is running with Indy Heat 16U and was one of their better players off the bench. He is a smooth guard/wing that plays at a great pace and never gets sped up. Is a smooth three-pointer shooter, as well.

Nash was a big part of Kokomo’s strong first half, but was neutralized a bit in the second half by Lawrence North’s zone defense. The athletic 6’3″ wing still finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds, but the Wildkats lost 53-42. He has had an excellent sophomore season so far for Kokomo and remains one of the top prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2028.

A player that benefited well from Hammel’s elite playmaking was sophomore guard DJ Nash DJ Nash 6'5" | SF/PG Kokomo | 2028 State IN . Finishing with an impressive 15 points, Nash was as smooth as ever using his length to score over the Chatard defense well. Nash is a player that has so much skill to him paired with nice athleticism and length. Never forces any issues and just lets the game come to him.

The 2028 class is full of electric guard and one of the top ones in that group is without question Kokomo’s DJ Nash DJ Nash 6'5" | SF/PG Kokomo | 2028 State IN . A big part of the 5-1 start for Wildkats has been because of Nash’s play with him averaging 14.8 points, over 6 rebounds, and 3.0 assist per game. At 6’3, Nash is a versatile wing who thrives in an up-tempo style, using his physical tools and bounce to impact the game both inside and out. Kokomo placed four scorers in double-figures in a dominant 78-46 win over Western. Nash, a 6’3″ sophomore wing, led the way finishing with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists while shooting an impressive 9-11 from the field.

One of the top prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2028, Nash really looked the part on Sunday evening at the Metro Indy Fall League. The 6’4″ hybrid wing/forward always displays impressive versatility and that was what was working for him on Sunday. Nash was dunking it at the end of his drives, finishing with strength in the paint, and shooting it well from three-point range. He is also a high-level rebounder for his position. Coming off of an excellent freshman season, Nash is ready for another big year at Kokomo High School.

This 6’4″ versatile wing stepped in right away at the Class 4A level and averaged 9.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game for Kokomo High School. Another one of the highly ranked prospects to attend our Sophomore ID Camp, Nash came and proved himself once again against the best of the best in the Class of 2028. He is unstoppable in transition, rebounds at a high level, and can play above the rim at the end of his drives.
