Normally known as a knockdown three-point shooting specialist, Cardwell put some other areas of his game on display at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6’2″ guard from Kokomo High School found success attacking closeouts and finished a couple of good looking floaters in the lane as he drove the basketball. Adding some off-the-dribble scoring ability to what we already know is a high percentage shooting ability will make Cardwell even more dangerous offensively.

Kokomo High School had five freshmen appear in a varsity game last season with this 6’2″ sharpshooter being one of them. Cardwell should step into a larger role this season and provide some important depth to the Wildkats backcourt. He is definitely a prospect worth monitoring longterm due to his catch-and-shoot ability. We look forward to seeing him more closely at the Sophomore ID Camp.

This 6’2″ wing continues to prove himself as one of the top catch-and-shoot threats in Indiana’s Class of 2028. After getting some valuable experience in a larger role for Kokomo High School through the month of June, Cardwell came out in July and shot the ball with a ton of confidence for Grand Park Premier . He had a recent 27-point performance where he shot 6-9 from deep while also making five three-point shots in another game that same day. What he can do as a perimeter shot-maker definitley makes him worth following.

There is no doubt that Cardwell is one of the best pure shooter in Indiana’s Class of 2028. However, we just haven’t been able to get eyes on him much yet for one reason or another. That will need to change in June and July where we will make a point to evaluate this 6’0″ guard from Kokomo High School further. He has a lot of potential as a perimeter threat.

Yet another Kokomo High School freshman to talk about. Cardwell is a big time catch-and-shoot threat that was putting them in consistently from beyond the arc at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. He will factor into the Wildkats backcourt down the road as part of a very talented incoming freshman class.

Cardwell was one of the four freshmen prospects out of Kokomo High School showing that Wildkats have some talent on the way. Listed at 6’0″, he was one of the more aggressive guards in the gym and did a really good job fighting for rebounds on both ends of the floor. I also thought he was a strong communicator on defense and had no issues with talking to his teammates on the floor. There were some really mature qualities already in his game.
