High School Spotlight: Kokomo Wildkats

The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. He is 92-78 as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>A roster full of rising talent. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2468939' first='DJ' last='Nash']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/levi-lindeman/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Kokomo Wildkats will once again be looking to be one of the better teams in Class 4A this upcoming season and make a statement come Sectional 7 time. The player back leading the charge for the Wildkats this season is junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2468939' first='DJ' last='Nash'], who brings back 15.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game from last season. A true Indiana Junior All-Star candidate this season, Nash is a player with tons of potential as a 6'5" wing who can be a mismatch on the perimeter. He is a smooth wing who plays at a great pace and never gets sped up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2135089' first='Erivon' last='Burks']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/royce-bridgewaters/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This season for the Kokomo Wildkats, there is going to be plenty of opportunity for guys to step up and play key roles. A player who returns with valuable varsity experience and leadership is senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2135089' first='Erivon' last='Burks']. The 6'1" shooting guard returns 8.4 points per game and shot 51-of-133 (38.3%) from three-point range a season ago. He is an aggressive offensive player who is a true microwave scorer in every sense of the phrase.
