South Bend Riley scored just 12 points in the first half on Wednesday night. They surpassed that total in just a couple of minutes in the second half. It was a quick flurry of forced turnovers, layups, and three-point shots that put the Wildcats on top and they never looked back. Jones took over in the second half finished with a double-double of 16 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

The electric Senior Guard from South Bend Riley put on a show in the Wildcats victory over Evansville Bosse on Saturday night at the Banterra Bank Warriors Showcase. He oozes with confidence on both sides of the floor. Deadly in transition with his speed and craftiness getting to the rim. He thrives on getting downhill where he can finish with either hand through contact. Good shooter from three that shoots it with deep range and can get going in a hurry. More of a combo guard, but showed intriguing court vision, especially in the pick and roll.

I think arguably the best pure playmaker that I saw on the day during the Phil Cox Memorial Tournament at Kokomo High School on Tuesday was easily Tyrese Jones Tyrese Jones 6'3" | PG South Bend Riley | 2026 State IN . The South Bend Riley senior guard was his silky-smooth self on the ball hitting a few outside jumpers while knowing when to push the pace and score uncontested in the lane. As soon as Jones steps onto the floor, he just has that natural feel as a guard knowing how to score and dictate pace — as a true playmaker does. He finished with a game-high 23 points.

Selected as an Indiana Junior All-Star last season, this 6’0″ guard from South Bend Riley High School is picking up right where he left off. He recently posted a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, plus three steals, in an 84-47 win over the Wildcats over Niles (MI). His athleticism and playmaking ability off of the bounce is a big piece of an excellent Riley backcourt. Jones, an unsigned senior, is the engine propelling his team to a 4-0 start.

Jones is an electric guard. He can hit the open floor and make plays with his speed, beating the defense back. Jones also showed the ability to break down his defenders off the bounce as well as find open space and attack it with a jumper or dribble drive. He proved once again that when he gets hot, the scorers table will be busy.
