After watching a couple of games featuring Wisconsin club teams at the Prep Hoops 2k25 event on Friday evening, I was able to view seven contests with state teams on Saturday at Wayzata High School in Plymouth, Minnesota. Here are updated profiles of the state standouts from games I watched on Saturday:

When he gets his feet set and has a clean look at the basket, Feck can snap the nets from deep better than almost every other player in the state. The shooting guard from Rhinelander made six three-point shots and scored 20 points Saturday morning to help [program_tooltip program_id='2502936' first='UTC' last='Fire'] register a 58-56 victory over The Work Foundation out of the Chicago area. In addition to his No. 1 strength of long-distance shooting, Feck competes with energy and passion on defense, is a willing passer and cheers on his teammates. In short, Feck is a true team player who makes a difference in any game he plays because of his shooting skill.

Barkus has taken a big step forward in his game since the end of the high school season. One of several key returning players for Rhinelander, Barkus has evolved into a true backcourt player who can handle the ball, get to the basket and find open teammates. He did a good job of scoring as well as he finished with 19 points in the win over The Work Foundcation with most of those tallies coming off strong drives to the basket. At 6-foot-3 and with good speed and strength, Barkus is tough to keep out of the lane. And once he's in that position, good things usually are forthcoming.

Cooper came off the bench for [program_tooltip program_id='2502936' first='UTC' last='Fire'] against The Work Foundation and provided his team with solid play on both ends of the court. He finished with 10 points, hitting one triple, getting a basket in transition and scoring in the half court off the dribble. He also had an enormous block on a shot in the lane that appeared destined for the bottom of the net. A good athlete with length and versatility, Cooper appears ready for a big season at Wausau West in 2025-26.

The skilled and shifty point guard from Brookfield East was dominating at times for Young Men of Milwaukee Diamonds In The Rough in their victory over Iowa Prep Nelson. He seemed to suffer a minor injury in the second half and sat out down the stretch, but he had more than made his presence felt prior to the minor injury. He scored 13 points and had baskets on the fast break, in the half court, from three-point range and on floaters in the lane. He played significant minutes as a junior at Brookfield East and could again be a key component for a Spartans squad looking to contend for the Greater Metro Conference crown.

Labus was aggressive from the get go for [program_tooltip program_id='2899387' first='Coulee' last='United'], which posted a 54-39 victory in 17U play over Minnesota Heat Tuma on Saturday. A vertical player with good strength and aggressive moves to the basket, Labus finished the contest with a game-best 18 points. His first basket was a three-pointer, but he scored mostly off the dribble the rest of the way for [program_tooltip program_id='2899387' first='Coulee' last='United']. Labus has the strength to absorb contact and the verticality to outjump defenders. Labus averaged 5.1 points and 5.0 rebounds as a junior and should improve on both numbers for West Salem next season.

A wired-to-score backcourt prospect, Backaus can put up points in a hurry due to his deep bag of tricks on offense. He can pop in multiple threes in any game, scores through contact on drives to the basket, and swishes mid-range jump shots. He had eight points for [program_tooltip program_id='2899387' first='Coulee' last='United'] in its win over Minnesota Heat Tuma as he turned in a cerebral performance for his squad. But he can get you 20-points plus in most games, and get to the foul line at a high level as well.

The straw that stirs the drink for the very impressive and successful [program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'] Appleton 16U squad, Bezares was outstanding in a 63-56 victory over Minnesota Fury Goring. He was efficient in his shot selection, successful on his drives to the basket, and able to find the bottom of the net from outside the three-point arc. Bezares had a game-best 22 points, which included three baskets from three-point range in addition to his effective moves to the hoop. Moreover, Bezares played strong perimeter defense and was patient with the ball in his hands and often delivered passes at just the right time for his teammates to score.

Malik did his damage for the [program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'] Appleton team in the second half of its win over Minnesota Fury Goring. He agile big man used ball fakes and quick moves to score 10 points in the lane as the Playmakers held off a couple of Fury scoring sprees to notch the victory. Malik played varsity minutes as a sophomore for Stevens Point and teams with Jackson Bourressa (6-6) and Jayden Seuhs (6-11) on a young and promising frontline for the Panthers.

Sullivan seemed to gain confidence by the minute and scored the majority of his 15 points in the second half. His three swishes from three-point range helped CV Select hold off several charges from the Playmakers. Sullivan also did a good job of handling the ball and getting CV Select into its offense.

A very hard working player who has definitely increased his physical strength and versatility, Hazel can play multiple positions and guard different spots on the floor as well. He is a capable shooter, but scores more often off cuts to the basket. He can finish through contact due to his strength. Developing a consistent three-point shot to go along with his moves off the bounce is perhaps the next step in Hazel's development as a player.

Leone got off to a hot start for CV Select in its win over the [program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'], making three triples in the first six minutes of the contest. He also made some big triples down the stretch to keep CV Select in front despite some rallies by the Playmakers. Leone finished with 18 points on the strength of five three-point baskets. A backcourt player with good size and skill, Leone played on the JV1 squad at La Crosse Logan after a transfer from Aquinas as a junior.

Few, if any, players in the entire 17U field at the 2k25 event were able to draw as many fouls on opponents as Angiulli. The lanky and improving 6-foot-7 forward from Wausau East went to the foul line no less than eight times Saturday in a 60-51 loss to East Metro Bounce. He ended up making 10-of-14 foul shots and scored 16 points for [program_tooltip program_id='2485560' first='G-Elite' last='']. Angiulli also ran the floor well and rebounded well for [program_tooltip program_id='2485560' first='G-Elite' last='']. With improved strength and even more refined moves in the post,. Angiulli could be a beast in the Wisconsin Valley Conference next season.

A quick combination guard who excels at getting to the rim with his burst and aggressiveness, Reuter sealed an impressive victory for [program_tooltip program_id='2830359' first='Team' last='Compete'] over Minnesota Select Horn by making several clutch foul shots in the closing minute of the game. The multi-year varsity performer for coach Mike Huser at Platteville ended up with 17 points and teamed with Lancaster guard [player_tooltip player_id='2825387' first='Dayne' last='Kauffman'] to create havoc on both ends of the court for the taller but not as quick Minnesota Select outfit. Reuter is an unselfish player who can run a team with his ball handling, passing and solid leadership skills.

Kauffman was a crowd pleaser for Team Complete fans in its win over Minnesota Select Horn. He weaved his way through defenders to score in the lane, but he also drained three-point shots at a high level. Kauffman made three-point shots throughout the game, swishing six triples on the way to scoring 25 points. Kauffman doesn't turn the ball over and is good at getting the ball to his teammates in scoring position.
