Teams from across the Midwest showed up in Rockford this weekend. I had the opportunity to be at the UW Sports Factory to take in guys from the classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029. In this article we will take a look at sound foundational prospects in the 15U and 16U divisions who are gaining some early traction this April.

Going to create a lot of headway this spring and summer. Will be put into a 1 or 2 man dependent upon program need with length, skill, and athleticism. A bucket getter from all three levels. Comfortable in fast paced setting. Will hit shots with a hand up. His hesitation game and change of speeds allows him to create space and get to spots. Has high end bounce to play above the rim from guard location. Defensively makes his mark applying zero gap pressure. Dynamic 2 way prospect with a continuation of upside from multiple facets.

Projects as a 1 or possible combo guard at the next level. Shows control and confidence as a handler who can create his own looks. Scores it effectively from midrange off the bounce from 15 feet. Can come off screens into rhythm jumpers. Added a couple tough finishes through traffic on baseline drives. Operates and creates within flow.

The back court play of Marqwan Morgan is at a highly fast pace and rate. He impacts the game across a multitude of phases while playing alongside another elite guard in [player_tooltip player_id='2531961' first='Amarion' last='Smith-Holley']. These 2 will put up a competitive battle against anyone across the nation this Spring and Summer season with their rate of speed, high level intense defense, and jaw dropping bounce around the rim. What is best about Morgan's game is his drive and competitiveness to play on both ends without skipping a beat. His valued playmaking skill is a given but his willingness to continue to play at a high energy rate every second is what will be the separation as he progresses through his career.

I caught Shim last summer a couple of times with the Ayo Dos squad and over the course of 9 months has upped his game. His coordination continues to come along and he is playing in more confident stride with or without the ball. His reaction time is gaining quickness as his long wingspan continues to be eye catching as well. His movement is more responsive and intentional with a continued upward rise in stock.

Positive energy athlete that provides effort and produces through multiple phases. Shows good body control after pump faking to lift defender and then finish in the lane. Had another and1 during transition phase. Utilizes height and quick reaction to gain advantage on the boards for second chance opportunities. Had a couple put backs to provide a spark plug. Runs the floor well for size and provides plus attributes across the board.

Defensively makes his mark in an impactful way. Can cleanly block shots at the rim or in transition. Guards similar size on the perimeter moving feet laterally at a good rate. For a forward Larsen possesses good vision for kickouts while catching it on the interior with patience. Scoring wise can hit shots from all 3 levels. Liked his consistent hustle to grind out possessions.

A slim lengthy post who can impact with versatility because of height and wingspan. Utilized in stretch opportunities to open floor up beyond the arc. Showed ability to catch and shoot from 3 land. Rebounding wise contributes on both ends. Protected the rim with a couple clean blocks for momentum change. Plays with consistent pace.
