Practices in the Garden State start tomorrow, meaning live games are right around the corner. Non-Public A is one of the toughest groups in the Garden State and will be one to watch throughout the course of the season. Here are the Non-Public A teams and prospects to watch.

Union Catholic: South

The Vikings have been to the last two Non-Public A South finals and are looking to go back there again. [player_tooltip player_id='1411630' first='AJ' last='Altobelli'] paces Union Catholic's offense, which resulted in him making All-State 3rd team. [player_tooltip player_id='1547474' first='Yaw' last='Ansong'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1553776' first='Farouk' last='Muntari'] are a stifling duo in the paint as they are tough to stop in the interior. [player_tooltip player_id='1786395' first='Luke' last='Schorr'] is a sharpshooting guard who can stretch the floor, while freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2504886' first='Malik' last='Moore'] is slated to make an impact in his debut varsity season. Union Catholic has had a historic run over the past two seasons and will look to add to its history this season.

St. Peter's Prep: North

The Marauders have been to three of the past four Non-Public A North title games and are looking to increase the streak this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1595680' first='Mason' last='Santiago'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1609109' first='Richie' last='Rosa'] have been a key part of the Marauders' backcourt over the past two seasons and provide them with stability. Shawn Spencer has a good release on his jumper and can also score in the mid-range. Don Bosco Prep transfer [player_tooltip player_id='1603412' first='Keiner' last='Asprilla'] is one of the top post players in the class and will control the paint downlow. St. Peter's Prep has a tough schedule ahead of them, but that won't stop the Marauders from being a threat to make a deep postseason run.

Bergen Catholic: North

The Crusaders have been one of the top teams in Non-Public A over the past couple of seasons and will be again this season. Fairfield commit Declan Wucherpfenig can score at all three levels and will be looking to make it back to an All-State team in his senior season. [player_tooltip player_id='1595675' first='Julius' last='Avent'] had a big sophomore season and is primed to have an even bigger junior season. Roselle Catholic transfer [player_tooltip player_id='1595676' first='Jalen' last='Maldonado'] joins [player_tooltip player_id='2635689' first='Jaden' last='Brown'] in the backcourt, creating one of the top backcourts in Bergen County. Bergen Catholic hasn't won Non-Public A since 2022 and is looking to change that in 2024-25.

Paul VI: South

The Eagles are the reigning Non-Public A South champions and are looking to repeat in 2024-25. [player_tooltip player_id='2339154' first='Isaiah' last='Thomas'] led the Eagles in scoring last season and will look to do so again in 2024-25. [player_tooltip player_id='1271427' first='Judah' last='Hidalgo'] has a clean release on his jumper, while [player_tooltip player_id='2107865' first='Adiel' last='Fred'] provides the Eagles with a gritty forward on the interior. Freshmen big men [player_tooltip player_id='2628237' first='Ibrahima' last='Cisse'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2405359' first='Toussaint' last='Malukila'] will only get better as the season progresses as they will impact a ton of shots around the rim. Paul VI will be a team to watch all season in South Jersey as the Eagles look to get back to Rutgers this season.

Don Bosco Prep: North

The Ironmen won their first Non-Public A title since 2018 and will be looking to repeat as champions this season. Brown commit [player_tooltip player_id='1411403' first='Brady' last='Loughlin'] is one of the top shooters in the state and will be torching the nets from distance throughout the season. [player_tooltip player_id='1411408' first='Jordan' last='Ghee'] provided Don Bosco Prep with stability in the backcourt and will get more looks in the offense this season. Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2421366' first='Israel' last='Jackson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2342637' first='Brad' last='Brown'] have the potential to have breakout this season as they both will get more touches in the offense. Don Bosco Prep will be one of the top teams in the Garden State again this season and will be looking to bring in more hardware this season.
