Seneca, the eighth seed in South Jersey Group 3, defended its home court and knocked off ninth-seeded Clearview to advance to Monday's sectional quarterfinals. The Golden Eagles were led by a pair of seniors in [player_tooltip player_id='3529113' first='Kingston' last='Williams'] (17 points) and [player_tooltip player_id='3529123' first='Cole' last='Keating'] (19 points). The southpaw guard came out in attack mode and never took his foot off the gas, scoring 17 points (12 in the first half) while applying consistent pressure on the defense. Williams was effective using his straight-line quickness to get downhill for athletic finishes. He showed smooth elevation for his midrange jumper with crisp decisionmaking within the team concept. His pair of emphatic blocks also gave a glimpse into his defensive upside with his blend of length, quickness, and broad shoulders. Williams' handle is a bit loose and we didn't see him shoot much from the perimeter but he brings some clear scholarship-level tools to the table as an unsigned senior in the backcourt.

Leading the way in the scoring column for the Golden Eagles, Keating extended his high school career with a workmanlike 19-point effort. He played tough around the basket against an undersized Clearview frontcourt, carving out position and showing consistent touch as a finisher. Keating flashed some feel as a passer on the move and stepped out for a clean 3 from the wing to display more of his modern elements. He's undersized for his role at the scholarship level but could carve out a nice identity as a small-college energy guy.

Steering the ship for a younger Clearview group that starts three freshmen, Turner managed to impress with 16 points despite the lopsided loss. He was a consistent problem for Seneca to keep out of the lane with his slippery handle and deceptive quickness. Turner showed advanced craft and dexterity as a finisher around the rim while keeping his eyes up as a playmaker for others once the defense converged on him. He'll need to work to add strength to his frame and show more as a perimeter shooter, but coming off a standout junior season, there's a clear path for Turner to have success at the small-college level in due time.

One of three freshmen in the starting five and among the leading scorers for Clearview, Pellecchia was the most effective of the trio on Friday while showing a versatile offensive skillset. He came out on fire with three first-quarter 3's, showcasing a clean and confident stroke within tight confines. Pellecchia would score 13 points on the night, mixing it up with some crafty drives that displayed his ballhandling skill and processing ability. He's a bit of a tweener from an athletic standpoint for the time being but his skillset and relative size give him multiple paths toward long-term success at the scholarship level.

One of the more productive freshmen in the state this season, Riddick only scored 4 points on the night but still stood out as arguably the highest-level long-term prospect on the floor. Blessed with a long, lean frame and fluid movements, he showed natural touch as a smooth shooter out to the perimeter and really intrigued with his pace and footwork as a slasher off the bounce. RIddick was also active on the glass, using his length to extend or close out possessions. We'd like to see him be more aggressive in future viewings but the ceiling is undeniable when considering Riddick's skillset, physical tools, bloodlines, and youth.
