One of the top lead guards in the state, Altobelli largely had his way throughout the game. He broke down the Linden defense in both transition and the halfcourt, as both a scorer and a playmaker for others. Known to be a bit of a risk-taker, Altobelli was pristine with his decisionmaking and shot selection. It was a performance that really showcased all of what the unsigned floor general brings to the table for any college coach in attendance or watching on film.

Altobelli was a menace on the defensive end finding ways to come up with steals frequently. He plays at such a great pace and doesn’t seemed to get rattled. He was able to score around the basket in an array of ways. Altobelli had 13 points in the win over Brooklyn Collegiate Academy.

-Impressed at Philly Live 2 with his ability to run the show to create looks for a roster that needed a table-setter. With a rotation of play-finishers in the frontcourt that ran the floor hard, Altobelli drew 2 and executed timely dimes through some tight windows both in transition and in the halfcourt. Has the IQ to get into his defender’s chest in transition to create space to finish but will always reward a rolling big or shooter outside the arc for running the floor with a timely pass. The unselfish play style opens up the floor space for him to create his own offense when it’s the right look but the tight handle allows him to navigate through and around the defense to find the right shot for his team every possession.

Altobelli’s game unfolds in layers. He starts off as a crafty passer who can pull the defense away, opening better looks for teammates. He’s a quick decision maker who sees playing lanes before opening and passes with both hands. As his playmaking mixes things up, he finds his spots and shots around the court. He’s a capable three level scorer with the on ball shooting and crafty finishing package. Lower division one schools and Ivy League colleges have started to reach out.
