has quickly established himself as a reliantly productive and extremely versatile front court presence, continuing to showcase the intriguing dimension he brings to this NJ Panthers 16U offense through the unique skillset he offers for his size and position— finishing effectively around the basket out the dunker spot area, attacking closeouts and getting downhill off the dribble, creating second chance opportunities on the offensive glass, and showing comfort operating with his back to the basket in the post. At the same time, Wicks has continued to emphasize perhaps the most valuable aspect of his game— his ability to stretch the floor and pull opposing bigs away from the paint, consistently presenting himself as a dependable C+S threat from the perimeter.
Possessing a skillset that is of a high premium at the next level particularly at his position, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Wicks start to see himself on the radar of college coaches.

continues to show how much he brings to the Panthers’ 16U HGSL offense. With a strong frame and an evolving inside out skill set for his position, he offers a unique versatility. Wicks impacts the game in multiple ways and impressed the most over the course of this past weekend’s action with his developing guard skills— initiating the break and handling the ball in the open floor while also showing flashes of his outside touch with his spot up perimeter shooting ability paired with his ability to attack closeouts off the bounce in halfcourt sets and finish in traffic around the basket.

once again highlighted the unique dimension he brings to the Panthers’ 16U HGSL offense. Capable of influencing the game both on the interior and from the perimeter, Wicks displayed the entirety of his offensive game—finishing at the rim off short corner dump offs, attacking closeouts to get to the basket off the bounce, creating second chance opportunities on the offensive glass, and even showcasing his back to the basket game in the low post. All while also continuing to showcase the most impressive part of his game in his ability to stretch the floor and drag opposing bigs out of the paint, presenting himself as a reliable spot up shooting threat from the outside.

once again demonstrated the unique layer he adds to this Panthers’ 16U HGSL offense. A threat to impact the game on the interior and be just as equally impactful out on the perimeter, Wicks showcased a lot of his overall offensive skillset— finishing around the basket catching dump offs in the short corner, diving to the rim when penetrating guards attracted help defense, and generating second chance opportunities on the offensive glass all while also flashing his floor spacing ability as a threat to knock down outside shots as a spot up shooter.

A potential breakout game for the young forward was thwarted by a first half leg injury, but Wicks showed a lot of early promise during his short stint. With good size for a freshman frontcourt prospect, he’s shed a good deal of baby fat since the fall with a frame that now looks ripe for development. He showed touch as a finisher along with deft feel as a passer and flashes of shooting potential. Looking forward to tracking Wicks into the grassroots season.
