Bryce Scott Bryce Scott 6'1" | SG/CG Union Catholic | 2028 State NJ , who was initially projected to be part of the primary guards for this 16U Panthers HGSL squad, stood out during last weekend’s action who had some strong flashes of his ability to create overall offense— particularly with his spot up shooting off the ball, being effective as a strong ball handler comfortable setting the table and initiating offense, and even making some sharp decisions off the bounce.

Read EvaluationAri Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
Coming off the bench to give a needed spark of offense in a sluggish opening half, Scott was immediately aggressive on his way to a smooth 12 points. He got going initially from the perimeter, knocking down a pair of first half 3’s while showcasing a confident stroke off the catch. Scott mixed it up as well, showing some pace getting into the lane off ball screens and smooth footwork getting to his midrange pullup game. He could improve his decisionmaking and court vision but Scott’s natural scoring and shotmaking ability should give him a chance to be coveted at the scholarship level moving forward.

Read EvaluationJames Whelan | Prep Hoops Scout
The only freshman on the roster for one of New Jersey’s top programs. Scott faces tough competition for playing time on a guard-heavy roster. At 5’10”, he fits seamlessly into Coach Decker’s system, emphasizing active hands on defense, unselfish ball movement. May have to wait for significant minutes. Already sharpening his game by going up against some of the best talent in the state during practice.
