So instead, I’m opting to break down prospects by area. Here’s a look at the top players in Louisville. This list is not meant to be a ranking of best high school players right now. This is a ranking of best college prospects in the city.
Jayden is a dynamic talent and ranked anywhere in the top 50-100 in the 2026 class nationally/ He’s got a ton of power 5 offers from all over America and Johnson will only get better as he continues getting stronger and more athletic. He’s still only a Sophomore!
Damone has had a long and decorated career and will end up at the D1 level after he decides where he wants to commit to. His best position in college is probably as a floor general PG who orchestrates an offense.
Drae is a tough as nails guard who has a big time game thanks to a high skill level and a killer mentality. I’m excited to see Vasser back on the court this season after he missed most of his 17u AAU season with an injury.
A certified bucket in the low post, Julius reminds me of former Bowling Green forward and current Chicago Bull Terry Taylor. A bruising forward who can score on the block or face you up and get a bucket, Edmonds could be the breakout player in Louisville this season.
Christian holds a D1 offer from Jacksonville State and could see more coming with a big Senior season. A versatile two way guard, Doerr was named 6th region player of the year last season and has mid major D1 guard written all over him.
Speaking of Mid Major D1 guards, Williams fits that profile with his length, athleticism and motor. Dayton is the preseason 6th region player of the year and should be a D1 player by signing day.
Jeremiah holds a couple of early D1 offers before starting his Sophomore season and will only get better as his jumpshot gets more consistent. Jackson is a big time talent with an extremely bright future.
Cole may be the best shooter in the state and if you don’t believe me, challenge him to a shooting competition. Edelen has added a couple of D1 offers lately and looks like he could lead the city of Louisville in scoring as a Sophomore.
Quel’ron may be the most underrated player in the city right now. If I were a D1 coach looking for a point guard, I’d be all over House thanks to his elite quickness and handle. Not to mention great floor vision.
The words that college coaches drool over are “length and upside” but Justice has those in spades and continues to develop. He’s a little bit of a late bloomer but Decker just keeps improving and he earned his first couple of college offers this summer with more likely to come.
