King played a bit of a different role than I had grown used to seeing him with at the high school level on Wednesday. Playing as a slashing guard looking to attack closeouts, King was playing off the ball a majority of the time he was on the court. He still found ways to be effective as he knocked down one corner 3 off the catch and also did a nice job attacking closeouts. With soft touch, King had a couple mid-range shots that touched every part of the rim before falling in. With his stronger frame, King drew a couple fouls in the paint to get to the foul line. Committed to Hargrave for a post grad year, King should get some solid recruiting attention as a reclass to 2025.

AAU teammates with Vasser, Damone is another versatile guard who is a D1 caliber player. King is athletic and a good finisher. He remains unsigned but will be a good addition to whichever team picks him up this Spring.

King was easily one of the best players I saw on day 1 as he just naturally scores the basketball at ease. He is a big time athlete with good side which allows him to be extremely affective everywhere on the floor at the high school level. He elevates extremely well, especially on rebounds. When he gets the ball he is in constant attack mode and was relentless getting to the rim. An underrated part of his game was facilitating for others. Just when you think he was about to take a tough shot he patiently found open scorers for shots or dump offs. Colleges should be all over him.

Damone has been one of the best players in the class since we started watching them and nothing has changed except the uniform he wears on gamedays. King is a top guard in the 502 with several D1 offers to choose from and has notched a couple of big wins for DeSales already this season.

While Vasser was sensational, it was even more special to see Vasser get matched shot for shot by King who put up 37 points and was sensational as well. King is an explosive athlete who can get up very quickly off the ground and get on the rim. Comfortable in highly contested spaces, when King gets to the 12-16 foot range, it doesn’t matter where the defenders hand it when he rises up. I think the difference in the game was King missing a couple shots late, after leaving it all on the court as he was exhausted by the final horn. I was also impressed by King’s defensive performance, moving his feet and pressuring opposing ball handlers. With multiple Division I offers, King is one of the top available prospects in Kentucky’s 2024 class.

Damone has had a long and decorated career and will end up at the D1 level after he decides where he wants to commit to. His best position in college is probably as a floor general PG who orchestrates an offense.

One of the best unsigned players in the state, Damone has a long offer list and has his sights set on a state title for the Colts this year. DeSales will be smaller than normal but capable of beating anyone on any night.

Damone has been one of the top point guards in Louisville for his entire high school career. A shifty ball handler with a good first step and an above average defender, King has the ability to run an offense or create his own shot. Holding several D1 offers already, Damone will be an impact player for DeSales this season after transferring from Manual.

King had an up and down Junior season and missed a decent chunk of the season with an injury. Damone has a big bag of D1 offers already and should earn more this AAU season as long as he takes care of the basketball. Damone plays with a chip on his shoulder and a bit of a swagger to his game. He’s fun to watch.
