The only unsigned 2024 prospect I’m spotlighting from the entire weekend, Williams had some bright moments for Griffin Elite this weekend. A high flying athlete from the wing guard position, Williams had a couple dunks and blocks above the rim that showed off his explosiveness. Wanting to get back to his left hand on drives, Williams used some crossovers and spin moves when originally attacking right to finish with his dominant hand. Also capable of catching fire from the outside, Williams can knock down shots from 3-point range when left alone. One of the highest upside available 2024 prospects in attendance, I had multiple scholarship programs inquire about the recruiting status of Williams over the weekend.

Another top available Senior, Williams was 6th region player of the year and did it all for Butler as a Senior. The lefty guard excels as a slasher but can shoot the ball from distance when open, too.

One of the top unsigned seniors in Kentucky, Williams put on a huge shooting performance on Tuesday evening to try and keep his team in the game. A wing guard with a high release and confident pulling up from a few feet behind the line, Williams is one of the top shooters in Kentucky. The highlight of the game was sadly waived off when Williams did a euro-step half-court shot at the third quarter buzzer that was called a travel. For Williams, improving his handle to allow him to get where he needs to easier in the half-court would open his game up at the college level. Only posting an offer from Midway, Campbellsville and Georgetown College, Williams seems to be flying a little under the radar with college programs. I’ll be curious to see if Williams takes one of his current offers or if a new school comes calling late in the cycle.

Dayton has had a big start to his Senior season including a 33 point and 15 rebound game to start the season then had a triple double just last night. Williams has to avoid clunkers like he had this past Saturday against Lexington Catholic but his prospect ceiling is among the highest in the class.

Speaking of Mid Major D1 guards, Williams fits that profile with his length, athleticism and motor. Dayton is the preseason 6th region player of the year and should be a D1 player by signing day.

Dayton makes the move from 17th to 7th in this update and looks primed for a monster Senior season where he can push for regional player of the year. Williams had a strong AAU season and capped his season with 73 points combined in 2 games this past Sunday. Buy stock in Williams while you still can.

One of the biggest risers in this update, Williams comes off a big AAU season that came after a breakout Junior season at Butler. Dayton had a career high 45 points this past Sunday, including hitting 8 threes. Dayton is still only 16 years old and could be a candidate for a post grad year or a college to take him and redshirt him.

One of the big stock boosters of the summer, Williams had 19 points against Midwest 3SSB to lead all scorers. He also had 16 points in the second game of the day and had the most highlight dunks of anyone in the gym Saturday.

A prospect who could really change his recruiting trajectory this weekend, Williams is a prospect who should be on low major and Division II radars. After a slow first half, Williams made a couple defensive plays with his impressive athletic gifts and then flipped a switch offensively. Williams had an and-1 layup underneath the basket, knocked down a couple 3-pointers off the catch and was making play after play at both ends of the court. A super athlete from the wing guard position, Williams has a lot of potential as he’s one of the youngest players in Kentucky’s 2024 class. Lots of long term upside, college coaches are going to want to monitor Williams throughout July.

The Butler standout has had multiple double-doubles and a 31 point game over the last few weeks. With his size and ability to play on or off the ball, Dayton has shown himself to be a mid major D1 player and offers should come soon.
