He's back now and ready to make a major impact at Assumption. A dynamic athlete, Shabazz is a versatile scorer who can take over games in the blink of an eye as either a scorer or facilitator. He already holds offers from Bryant, Siena, Wake Forest, and Southern Miss. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1256295' first='Kavon' last='Phillips'] (North Scott): 14.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 blocks</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Phillips is one of the best two-way players in the state, a long and athletic wing who can defend multiple positions, create for his teammates, and score from anywhere. Coming off a great summer with the Barnstormers, he looks primed to have a huge senior year for the Lancers, who will battle PV, Assumption, and Bettendorf at the top of the league. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2025 Luke Wieskamp (Muscatine): 16.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 blocks, 75.8 FT%</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wieskamp's older brother Joe took a huge leap from his sophomore year to his junior year, and Luke may be in line for the same jump. We'll give the nod to Kipper, who led 4A in assists last season.
