Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
Shadrick is always a standout at our events, and he shined again. He’s a fun player to play with, a pass-first wing with great vision, and he has the ability to invert the offense and create plays for his teammates out of the post. He plays bully ball and gets to the rim against smaller defenders with ease, and he’s really skilled around the bucket, finishing through contact with either hand effectively. He’s good in the mid-range area as well, knowing how to get to his spots and knock down 15-footers routinely. He’s a vocal player on both ends of the floor and is a really encouraging teammate.

Shadrick is a big, physical wing with great court vision, feel for the game, and passing instincts. He can play bully ball against smaller defenders, either posting them up or backing them down from the wing and getting to the rim, and he’s a good enough shooter that it needs to be respected. He has bounced around to a few different schools in the last few years, but will provide North with a skilled playmaker who loves to get his teammates involved.

Another player who is a ton of fun to play with in this setting is Shadrick, who has routinely thrived at our events. He has incredible vision and is a skilled, creative passer who sees the game ahead of most of his peers. His ability to invert the offense and post up smaller defenders, either scoring or initiating the offense out of the low block, make him a unique player.

of Bettendorf High School. Shadrick had a slow start to the day but picked it up when it turned in tournament play. He did a little bit of everything for his squad which was exactly what was needed. Shadrick was drafted onto a team that had multiple Division-1 commits and he still did a consistent job of standing out in his own ways. If he wasn’t scoring the ball, he was finding teammates in the open court. If he wasn’t going up for a rebound, he was beating his opponent down the floor for an easy look, working smarter instead of harder. All in all, Shadrick did a good job of showing his game-style throughout the day. He demonstrated that he was skilled in most facets of the game and at the same time, if he wasn’t scoring, he was the biggest supporter of the teammates that were. I think that speaks volumes about not just who he is as a player, but more-so who he is as a person in general.

A powerful, physical, but graceful wing with a great feel for the game and tremendous passing instincts and court vision, Shadrick is a pass-first player who loves to get his teammates involved first and foremost. That said, he’s also a skilled scorer who can attack off the dribble and finish through contact at a high level around the rim, as well as step out and shoot it. He needs to add some more consistency to his jumper, but it’s enough of a weapon that it needs to be respected. He’s an instinctive defender who understands how to rotate and is a good help defender. He has transferred from Davenport West to Bettendorf and figures to be an impactful player for the Bulldogs this season.
