A mobile 6-8 rim-protector, Gott blocked 2.6 shots a game last season at Central, and like Readus, has transferred to play his senior year at North Scott. He’s an intriguing young player because of his mobility, ability to finish at the rim, and switchability as a defender.

A big lefty who is starting to put it together on the offensive end, Gott showed an impressive face-up game throughout the game that I caught, stepping out to about 15 feet and comfortably knocking down jumpers. He’s a good shot blocker with great timing who rotates well, and he’s athletic enough to defend on the perimeter for stretches if he’s switched onto a smaller ball handler. He’s good on post touches when he’s going to his left hand, with the right hand still a work in progress. His mobility and shot blocking make him an intriguing prospect at the next level.

Big man in the middle. Lefty with the ability to pull up from the mid-range or take one dribble and get to the rack. Does a great job staying down on defense, creating a lot of blocks and altered shots for the offense. Has a fundamental post game with a lot of nice moves going over his left shoulder. Knows where the glass and how to use it, when catching the ball on the block on offense. Brings great energy on the floor.

A 6-8 lefty who can protect the paint on the defensive end, Gott has always been a pretty solid defensive player, but his offensive game is starting to develop as well. He showed a face-up game with a mid-range jumper out to about 15 feet that he was comfortable taking. The lefty has good size and is working to develop his footwork and touch around the bucket. His greatest value on the hardwood right now is as a defender. He can block shots and I really liked the way that he defended ball screens, doing a great job getting out to hedge the screen and then scramble back to his man.
