A tough, physical guard who loves to play downhill and finish through contact, the future Iowa football player played with a swagger and toughness against Linn-Mar that really set the tone for the Lancers win. He bounces off defenders on his way to the rim and has the tremendous upper-body strength to finish through contact. Gerardy will walk-on to the Iowa football team, and he’ll give the Hawkeyes a lot of toughness. On the hardwood, he’s a tough, physical guard who impacts the game in a number of ways, contributing 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal in North Scott’s win over Assumption. He finishes well around the rim, is an active, physical, and quick defender, and he isn’t afraid to stick his nose in on the glass against bigger bodies. He’s a leader on the floor who plays hard on every possession.

Gerardy is a typical North Scott guard – a tough, physical defender who keeps the ball moving, knocks down open shots, and plays fantastic on-ball defense. He’s a winner who is going to do all the little things his team needs from him to be successful. No ego here.

is a D1 Quarterback recruit based on how he plays basketball. He is a leader by example and by his voice. When Gerardy makes a mistake, he does not get too low, and when he does something special, he does not get too high. He is a cool, calm and collected presence for the Barnstormers. He ran the show and created some nice opportunities for himself and his teammates in the win for his squad.

Gerardy is everything that you look for in a point guard. He’s tough, physical, and a talented ball-handler. He sees the floor extremely well and loves to get his teammates involved. He’ll knock down open shots, and he’ll compete hard on the defensive end, fighting through screens, coaching his teammates through actions, and moving his feet and making life difficult for opposing ball-handlers. He’s a high IQ player on both ends of the floor who uses his physicality, quickness, and court vision to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

6-ft guard. Nice handle with the ability to finish in different ways. Nice looking shot from range. Can get hot, quickly. Athletic with a quick first step. Not afraid of contact. Solid rebounder on both sides of the floor. Good upside going into AAU season off of a nice high school year for North Scott.

A high IQ lead guard who defends on the ball at a high level, Gerardy’s numbers as a sophomore won’t blow your mind – 8.0 points, 2.7 rebounds – but he was a strong contributor on both ends of the floor who takes pride in his work on the defensive end. He’s the type of lead guard who is going to take care of the ball, get others involved, and want the toughest assignment defensively on a nightly basis.
