“JoJo” has grown and filled out since last season and he’s just now starting to figure out how high his ceiling is as a prospect. Lawson earned a starting spot last year for the Warriors and parlayed that into a spot on the 15u EYBL. He’s used to being surrounded by talent and knows how to get teammates the ball in the position to make plays.
If you watched Yamil in high school then watched him in AAU, you wouldn’t know it’s the same kid. At Cooper, Rondon is a pass first point guard who sits down and guards in the half court then grinds out possessions on offense. In AAU, he plays with tremendous pace and won’t hesitate to shoot an NBA range step back three. Look for Rondon to have Cooper playing with a little more pace this season and have a chance to solidify himself as a top 2025 in NKY.
Eli Finley Eli Finley 6’2″ | PG Calloway County | 2025 State KY is the more known commodity in the Sophomore class at Calloway but it was Butler who caught the eye of Coach Bruce Pearl this summer when the Lakers were at Team Camp at Auburn. Jonah has good size as a wing and is a willing rebounder that isn’t afraid to mix it up with in the paint in addition to being a good shooter from distance.
Highlights
Ellis was among the state leaders in field goal percentage last season as he shot nearly 70% for the year. Looking ahead to this year, Trevor can start to show himself to be a sure fire college prospect if he shows a more complete skill level and improved outside shot. At 6’5, Ellis is bouncy and a great finisher around the rim. If he can keep improving his perimeter skills, the sky is the limit for him.
Highlights
Simpson saw the court in about half of the Gators games as a freshman but after losing a huge class to graduation, don’t be surprised if Nick is the starting point guard for a suddenly very young group at Greenwood. Simpson showed at our Top 250 expo that he can knock down perimeter shots with regularity and is a crafty finisher at the rim. Greenwood may take their lumps early but will be dangerous by tournament time.
