Lawson has excelled since his transfer to Trinity. Becoming less of a scorer and more of a facilitator, Lawson has been more of a table setter for the Rocks and does a great job of getting open looks for others. He’s also had some good rebounding games and isn’t afraid to mix it up on the glass.

Lawson transferred to Trinity from Western and brings multiple years of starting experience to the Rocks backcourt. Known for his shooting at the point guard spot, Josiah should offer a steady hand for one of the top teams in the state, assuming he gets eligible.

Another transfer from Western to Trinity, Lawson will push for a starting role with the Rocks and will help provide them with more offensive firepower and shooting. JoJo is a tough lead guard who could thrive under Coach Szabo and become more of a lockdown defender than what he’s shown at Western.

Josiah is often overlooked thanks to being on the loaded roster at Louisville Western. Lawson started most of the season for the Warriors and nearly averaged double figures while shooting over 40% from three. JoJo is becoming more of a passing point guard with the evolution of his game. Still more than capable of scoring, the 6’0 point guard is often at his best when he’s getting paint touches on offense and reading defenses.

Lawson gets overlooked at times because of the 3 stars in the 2025 class at Western but Josiah is a good prospect in his own right. While he plays more of a combo guard in high school, his true position is at the point and JoJo has shown that he can get downhill against top guards as well as being able to lock up on the defensive end when he needs to.

“JoJo” has grown and filled out since last season and he’s just now starting to figure out how high his ceiling is as a prospect. Lawson earned a starting spot last year for the Warriors and parlayed that into a spot on the 15u EYBL. He’s used to being surrounded by talent and knows how to get teammates the ball in the position to make plays.
