Simpson is still coming back from injury so he didn’t compete in the second 5 on 5 game of the day. Regardless, his coach named him as one of the three best players he saw at camp on Saturday. Nick is a good sized guard with above average athleticism and the ability to score from all three levels.

Simpson saw the court in about half of the Gators games as a freshman but after losing a huge class to graduation, don’t be surprised if Nick is the starting point guard for a suddenly very young group at Greenwood. Simpson showed at our Top 250 expo that he can knock down perimeter shots with regularity and is a crafty finisher at the rim. Greenwood may take their lumps early but will be dangerous by tournament time.
