Stars Basketball Club have a solid 17 U team with a mostly Tennesse based team. Finley is one of two Kentucky 2025 prospects who come off the bench and I was impressed with Finley the most. A thicker built guard, Finley used his frame to box out and was physical on both ends of the court. I also thought Finley played with a good feel, making skip passes to the opposite side of the court to shooters and moving the ball quickly. Combine this with a couple strong takes to the rim where he looked to finish off two feet and Finley impacted the game on both ends. Cumberland University has already offered Finley and expect more to come in if he impresses during the summer.

Finley was another guard who was limited to about half a season due to injury but he immediately made a difference when he got back on the court. Eli is a talented scoring guard and can get hot in a hurry. Already holding some scholarship offers, look for Finley to add more to his list this AAU season.

Finley missed the first half of the season before starting his season when the calendar hit 2024. Through 12 games since he came back, Eli is averaging 23 points on 58/44/83 shooting splits. More importantly, Calloway is 11-1 since Finley got back on the court.

Finley just got back into game action last night after missing the first third of the season with a combination of injury and illnesses. When he’s right, Eli is one of the best scoring guards in the class and has a nearly unguardable floater that he can get off and sink from anywhere within 12 feet of the rim.

Finley has been a known commodity over the last few seasons in the first region and is capable of scoring in bunches. One of the best guards in the 2025 class, Eli has to be mentioned among the top players in all of the first and second regions.
