Quinn made just two varsity appearances last season as a sophomore, but is someone we could see a lot more this winter. Even with a ton of talent around him, Quinn is someone who will fight for minutes as a shooter and quick decision maker. Against Totino-Grace we saw him hit a pair of early threes to push his team out front. Did a nice job of getting a defender in the air with a shot-fake and then side-stepping into a pull-up jumper with confidence. Made quick decisions when the ball came his way, and kept it moving if a shot wasn’t there.

Quinn activated takeover mode in a tight win on Saturday, hitting on some really tough shots. He is at his best when putting the ball on the floor and getting to his spots in the mid-range or from three. He looked good in the pick & roll, being able to attack the paint or find a teammate for an open look. Bjerketvedt is a very well rounded prospect that can be impactful from either of the guard spots.

Bjerketvedt played a very complete game against a Howard Pulley team that featured two of the top four players in the state. He had two threes in the first half that kept his team somewhat within striking distance. In the second half, he was not getting those same open looks, so he started attacking the hoop. Bjerketvedt had two great drives to the basket through traffic, one of which resulted in an and-one. The IQ to know when to take the outside shots and when to attack is a very valuable skill for someone Bjerketvedts age.
