The shooting touch we saw from Gunderson in 17u was similar to what we saw early in the game from Jack with the Raptors. Gunderson found his way to the corners, got the hands up, and knocked down threes. There were also some instinctive plays from Jack that also caught my eye. He had a touch pass for a finish that was eye opening and his floor run and positioning really set things up for his catch and shoot, or catch and move quite well.

Jack Gunderson Jack Gunderson 6'5" | SG/PG East Ridge | 2027 MN is a six-foot-five-inch 2027 wing from East Ridge who played with the Minnesota Heat . Gunderson showcased his perimeter shooting with back-to-back 3-pointers in the first half against DeLasSalle.

I have been so impressed each time I have watched Jack this club season, as he has looked like one of the top shooters in the state. I was only able to catch the second half of Minnesota Heat Morgan’s first game of the weekend, as Jack drilled four threes in the first couple minutes of the half. He has a very quick shot and the size to be able to shoot over solid contests from defenders. I am expecting Gunderson to have a big senior season at East Ridge.

Jack had two excellent performances on Saturday, leading his team to an opening round win and a competitive game with the top seeded Minnesota Select . The 6’5” guard is an elite shooter and was knocking down deep looks in both games. He has a lot of confidence in his shot and the range to stretch the floor well beyond the three-point line. Gunderson could score from all three levels, also being able to get to his spots in the mid-range and all the way to the basket for tough finishes.

He runs with Elevate Skills and was a key playmaker in the run to the NHR State Tournament Championship. At 6’4″, Jack is the starting PG with an amazing feel and court awareness. He pushes the pace while creating for himself and teammates. Gunderson is also a tremendous shooter. He accurately catches & shoots from 30 feet. He is the ideal guard with length, a controlling tempo, deadly 3 shooting, and versatility on defense.

Gunderson, similarly to a few of his Elevate teammates I wrote about yesterday, was very skilled in many aspects of the game. His jumpshot was very smooth, and every shot looked like it had a chance to go in, no matter where it was shot from. Gunderson had 15 points in his second game, and though a lot came from inside, he was dangerous from all three levels. His ability to make shots from mid-range elevated his game, no pun intended.
