. The length that White uses going at the rim is a big advantage and when he’s slashing to the rim with pace he’s a tough player to get in front of in a way that can contest him. White also shot the ball really well this weekend and it will be interesting to see if those percentages continue to carry over. Great impression made.

. White looks like a guard that hasn’t fully grown into his body yet, long, lackey, and getting more athletic. White’s length makes him a match-up problem for many guards more than his height which puts him in good company as combo guard. White exhibits off the dribble skill in shot creation situations, he has a solid handle and his jump shot looks smooth. White is a player that can finish above the rim in transition.

Royce was one of the bigger stock risers from the event. He’s shot up to about 6’2-6’3 with added athleticism that made him an above-the-rim threat out in the open floor. In the half-court he showcased a high arcing three that was connecting at a high percentage both off the catch or dribble. Royce is a fiery competitor who plays hard on both ends of the floor. Even when checked out of the game, Royce was active on the bench cheering on his teammates.

Sunday was the first time I was able to see Royce play a full game in a long time and I came away very impressed. He continues to grow and looked very explosive in the open floor, throwing down a pair of two-hand dunks. He is known as a knockdown shooter and was showing off his range with some deep triples. If White continues to improve as a creator and on-ball defender, I think he is very close to being an elite varsity contributor.

It felt like every time there was a transition, White was flying ahead of everybody to score at the rim. He’s a long 6’3 wing that dunked or laid in transition scores in bulk plus Royce also hit a lot of jumpers on Sunday. Threes and some longer twos, White’s percentages with the jumper impressed as well. Defensively the length of White really helped with bothering the opposition in several ways.

Royce was one of the breakout players of the day. He plays with an edge and brings a lot of energy to the floor. Royce has a very high arcing jumper that was connecting at a high level from three, and he was arguably the best pure scorer I saw during the 3v3 portion of camp. After a big growth spurt since his freshman year, he was also finishing above the rim with ease in the open floor. Another thing that really stood out about Royce was how vocal he was supporting his team when he was on the bench.
