About Nemo

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Currently, I play as a small forward and shooting guard for the Phelps School varsity team. My strengths include mid-range pull-up and three-point shooting, as well as strong court vision. I take pride in being a high-IQ player with effective off-ball movement, strong communication skills, and the ability to make an impact defensively and on the boards during key moments.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a very optimistic and positive person. Even when things get hard, I always try to look on the bright side. I believe that every challenge is a chance to learn and grow. I don’t give up easily, and I like to keep moving forward. I also enjoy encouraging the people around me and spreading good energy. Being positive helps me stay strong and happy in life.

Last weekend while running with the NJ Shoreshots at the Jersey Jam Fest, Niu proved that his athleticism and agility are vastly underrated. Niu thrived in the open court by pushing the rock or by filling a lane. In both roles, Niu navigated his way to the rim for finishes through contact. He also capped off a couple of fast breaks with dunks. Niu got to the rack off the dribble on half-court possessions too. When Niu was not scoring in transition or off dribbles drives, he was popping triples from all around the arc and knocking down mid-range jumpers. College coaches will love Niu’s high IQ and enormous wingspan.
