About Sulley
Expert Analysis
Carey Smith | Prep Hoops Scout
Sulley already holds offers from Arizona State as well as Youngstown State. But, after his impressive performances at the Big 64 we are certain that is just the start of what will be a large pile offers for this talented and versatile “big guard”. During Big 64 action Janiwade ran as a point guard where he showed good decision making, elusive handles and the ability to score at the rim. When he played off-the-ball, Janiwade slashed to the cup for catch and lay-ins as well as scored on straight line drives from the wing. Janiwade excelled in the Phelps’ transition game too. His size and speed make him extremely switchable on defense.

Janiwade doesn’t just have size at the guard spot, he’s a kid who understands how to use it to his advantage both inside and on the perimeter. He can shoot out of a wide range of pickups and is great at creating contact at the rim. He’s also a kid who’s shown he can play both guard spots and will be a big name to watch next winter.

West Seattle had a great season and a fantastic run at the end of the season, winning some games in the Metro tournament. Sully is a lengthy guard who has great control of the ball when facilitating the offense. His size helps him rise above opposing defenders and his strength helps him get to the bucket when driving the paint. This summer is going to be a special one for Janiwade.

Previous Rank: 40rnThe West Seattle guard has some really intriguing potential as a tall scoring guard. He’s 6-foot-5 and already shows the shooting and strength that allows him to get his shot off under tight defense. He was one of the top performers earlier in the year at the Top 250 Expo and showed how he can takeover with his comfort shooting with minimal space. He’s also a kid who uses his body well at the rim and with his size he can take contact and still get his shot up and in.

Another kid from West Seattle to get excited about is Janiwade. He has uncommon size and ability that has quickly vaulted him up as one of the high-potential players in his class. He has a great understanding of how to use his size advantage, whether it’s needing a little less space to get jumpers off, or creating contact to get space for shots inside, he’s done a great job using his physical advantages to score the ball so far. He’s also been able to use that size to bully some smaller guards and block shots on the defensive end. Janiwade will be a big riser this year in the 2026 class.
