His active motor keeps him engaged throughout the game, allowing him to make an impact even when plays are not being run for him. Thomas also stays active on the glass, using his effort and persistence to come up with rebounds on both ends of the floor. Defensively, his length is a major asset, as it enables him to block shots, generate steals, and create deflections that disrupt opposing offenses.
