Expert Analysis
Robbie Hodin | Prep Hoops Scout
Christopher showed off his two-way ability in Darrow’s win against Brimmer on Saturday. The 6-foot-3 guard is a freak athlete and has blaring speed, quickness and leaping ability. He combines those physical tools with good footwork, creativity and handle to become a very solid on-ball player. I was also impressed by his ability to play off the ball as a result of his spot-up shooting ability and cutting instincts, which I hadn’t seen before. Also, when he’s committed on the defensive end, he’s incredibly disruptive and fun to watch. Will be very curious to see where Christopher ends up after next season.

Christopher, a member of the 16U E16 squad, is a crafty scoring guard out of the Darrow School in New York. A long and lean 6’3″ combo guard, he does a great job of creating scoring opportunities, for himself and teammates, when he has the ball in his hands. He’s a shot creator off the bounce, creating seperation with hesitations and dribble moves, and elevating into his mid-range game. With his ability to hand and next level floor vision, he’s capable of operating as a lead ball-handler in spurts. Defensively, his length and quickness are advantageous, as he’s a capable on-ball defender that quickly turns defense into easy offense in transition.

Christopher is only a sophomore but was able to hold his own in one of the highest level high-school basketball games of the season against Newman, which is very impressive. The 6-foot-3 guard is super comfortable with the ball in his hands and can score from all three levels. He’s athletic at the rim and has some herky-jerky ball-handling moves that make him very difficult to stay in front of. Christopher looks like he could still be growing based on his body, in which case he will have D1 college coaches all over him in no time. DEFINITELY keep an eye on him moving forward.

Christopher is only a Sophomore, and you can tell by his body; he’s very skinny and looks young. But he has quite the future ahead of him. He’s incredibly skilled and can shoot it from anywhere and everywhere, both off the dribble and in spot-up situations. He’s well beyond his years in terms of feel, and depending on how his body develops, he could really come onto the scene in the next couple years.
