Expert Analysis
Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Marshall, a wing out of Bridgeport Prep in Connecticut, checks in at #5 among the small forwards and #35 overall. The 6’6″ lefty has continued to be productive at the prep level, showcasing the same offensive versatility that made him a standout last winter in the CIAC. He has terrific length and combines that with plus athleticism to be a high level finisher around the rim. He’s continued to develop his perimeter shooting and even shows the ability to make an impact as a secondary creator in the half-court. The defensive end of the floor might be why his ceiling is so high, as he has the ability to guard a variety of positions, to rebound it at a high level, and to make plays both on the ball and in passing lanes.

Marshall is a rugged forward to plays with a blue collar mentality whenever he steps onto the floor. Marshall finds open shooters for scoring chances of their own. He is constantly on the move on defense and finds ways to get steals. Marshall had no issue scoring through contact when barreling his downhill. Looking forward to him to have a strong sophomore campaign.

Marshall, an athletic forward out of Bridgeport Prep in Connecticut, is a playmaker in the open floor that can impact a game both offensively and defensively. He does a nice job of using his length and athleticism to his advantage, particularly as a finisher in space. He makes plays above the rim, has a nose for the ball on the offensive glass, and has good patience as a scorer with his back to the basket. Defensively, he guard multiple positions, can really rebound the basketball, and does a nice job of blocking shots from the help side.
