Eaglecrest was the state champion last season, and Kris Coleman Kris Coleman 6'3" | SG Chaparral | 2027 State CO was a big reason for that. He has good size, is a tenacious defender, and his versatility made it difficult for opposing guards to keep up with him. He’s strong and intentional, and that lets him attack when he wants. He gets to whatever spot he wants on the floor, makes the right pass when doubles come, and is constantly moving. He scores in bunches, can take a player out of the game when he’s locked in on them, and his absence will be felt for the current state champs. He steps into a spot that, if he plays, Chaparral becomes instant favorites. His impact is that strong. He had a solid summer with Mountain Stars, should get more attention this year and he makes the jump.
