was one of the standouts defensively yesterday. The 5’8 point guard is an absolute pest on the ball, not giving opposing point guards a second to breathe when the ball is in their hand. Kayden sits deep in a stance, is so quick laterally, and fights to get over screens out on the perimeter. I saw him play in two games on Saturday morning, where his defensive efforts combined for a handful of steals, while forcing a number of other errors out of opposing guards.

This kid is fun to watch. He may be on the small side, but he makes up for that and then some with his style of play. Travis has a quick first step and will take his defender off the dribble and finish inside amongst larger players. He has outstanding body control and converted several creative and acrobatic shots, including one where he was nearly on the floor after knifing through the lane. Travis hit several threes as well. And if that’s not enough, he rebounds well for his size and flashed a tasty no-look pass in transition.

Travis had the ball on a string during the expo. He found himself knifing through the paint via his quick change of direction. He showed off some acrobatic finishes at the basket. His knack for putting pressure on the paint opened up his play making and shooting from beyond the arc.

Travis might be just 5-foot-8 on the basketball court, but he stands tall while virtually always making the correct basketball play. A high IQ prospect who never seems to tire, Travis runs a team with intelligence and a true point-guard mentality. His physical strength is an absolute strength as is his ball handling and passing skills. Travis is a key returning player for a West Allis Central squad expected to challenge Pewaukee and Wisconsin Lutheran for the title in the Woodland West Conference in 2024-25.
