About Brody

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d describe my gameplay style as a high‑energy, athletic wing who uses length and quickness to impact both ends of the floor. At 6’3 with long arms, I space the floor as a reliable shooter but can also attack the rim and create offense at all three levels. I play with a good feel for the game, make smart passes under pressure, and use my defensive instincts to generate steals and contest shots.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a hard worker who’s fully dedicated to basketball. I play every day, always want to improve, and will do whatever it takes to succeed to play at the next level.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

NHS, DECA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills through playing on my AAU team, where I’ve taken on a leading role. My job has also helped me build communication and social skills by working with people daily. In addition, doing community service for local churches has taught me the value of giving back and staying involved in the community.

A recent commitment for NCAA Division III Northwestern College in St. Paul, Skates is one of the better backcourt players in the Southern Lakes Conference. He can fill up a stat sheet in several different areas and his strong play is a big reason why Badger is 13-6 on the campaign. Skates is averaging 15.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.4 steals for the Badgers, and went for 31 points and six three-point baskets in a recent victory over Wilmot.
