The NCAA Division II Michigan Tech recruit turned in a stellar game for Plymouth in its win over Catholic Memorial. He scored 29 points, which is not is at all unusual as he is averaging 28.3 points per game for the Panthers. But it was his passing and trusting of his teammates that stood out even more. Once double teamed, Schultz patiently looked over the defense and found his open teammates. And they responded well with Charlie Nass Charlie Nass 6'2" | SF Plymouth | 2027 WI making five triples and scoring 17 points while Max Hill Max Hill 5'9" | SG WI added eight points and two triples. Many of the points Nass and Hill scored came off assists from Schultz, one of the state’s most complete and electric players.

Kayden is one of the smoothest offensive players I have seen this weekend, as he was fun to watch go to work with the ball in his hands. He is a tough shot making savant, being able to hit on looks fading or with a hand in his face. These came from both the mid-range and from beyond the arc, as he could also attack the basket successfully. It is easy to see how Schultz was one of Wisconsin’s leading scorers last season as a junior.
