About Aziz
Expert Analysis
Michael Roth | Prep Hoops Scout
A battle of Florida powerhouses saw IMG Academy just overwhelm Southeastern Prep with their defensive unity, strength and toughness. Olajuwon knocked down a handful of jumpers, including a few in the fourth quarter after Southeastern Prep made their biggest run of the game to take the lead, but it was IMG’s ability to get stops in the half-court that won them this game. Olajuwon plays on balance and uses the pump fake to get defenders in the air. With a mature game and college ready frame, I expect Olajuwon to see the floor early in his college career.

Olajuwon consistently stretched defenses with his shooting and physical presence. The Stanford commit was money from NBA range, confidently pulling the trigger whenever defenders gave him space. At 6’6, Olajuwon has a strong frame that allows him to impact the game beyond scoring, holding his own defensively and battling down low when needed. His combination of shooting range, strength, and versatility made him a difficult matchup on Day 3.

Aziz Olajuwon Aziz Olajuwon 6'6" | SF IMG Academy | 2026 State #68 Nation FL proved to be a high-value glue guy — the type of player who elevates winning. His versatility, unselfishness, and quick decision-making stood out. He consistently made the right read, whether it was swinging the ball, dumping it off, or letting it fly when defenders gave him too much space. His shooting mechanics were clean and repeatable, and he wasted no time firing off the catch when defenders didn’t put a hand up. Aziz embodied the intangible intangibles: team-first mindset, IQ, and efficiency.

Aziz is a long, skilled forward with smooth three-level scoring ability and a confident shooting stroke. He’s a knockdown shooter who can space the floor or attack off the face-up with strong footwork and control. His length makes him a problem on both ends—finishing through contact offensively and contesting across multiple positions defensively. Coaches keep watching because he’s a true mismatch forward who blends shot-making, size, and versatility.
