About Trey
Expert Analysis
Miles Masercola | Prep Hoops Scout
Beamer is a really skilled scorer that knows where his spots are and how to get there. The Boston College Signee finished with 17 Points and 2 Rebounds in the IMG Academy loss to Greensboro Day. In a game where it wasn’t really clicking for the Ascenders, Beamer did his best to take matters into his own hands and try to create offense. His mid-range game is very refined for a guard at this stage in their career, he can pull up going either direction and over contests when needed. He showed the ability to hit the three ball as well, connecting on a trio from beyond the arc in this one. Beamer will continue to put together big performances and hopefully help IMG right the ship before the national tournaments begin.

Trey was having his way on the floor at the Xaverian Classic early Sunday. Able to glide through the lane at will, especially when facing the zone defense. Trey came right into the game firing dead on target, drilling three 3pt field goals in the first quarter. Trey found his shooters and his dunkers the whole game, making highlight after highlight dishing off to his high-flyers. Had a double-double midway through the third quarter to help open up a 100+point game over a respectable St. John’s unit. Huge performance from the senior guard out of Florida.

Beamer is a lethal scorer who consistently gets to his spots. His deep shooting range forces defenders to extend out, opening up lanes for him to attack. Whether pulling up from three, hitting midrange jumpers, or finishing in the paint, he has an advanced scoring package. His development as a playmaker has caught the attention of college coaches, making him a must-watch prospect.

Beamer is a kid who has stood out in both sessions of EYBL so far with Team United , an aggressive scorer who can get to the rim at will. He’s got good size for the point guard spot, and an athletic frame with quick burst. Been good at getting to the rim and making plays there, but also shown off an ability to shoot the cover off the ball from the perimeter in this session. It’s the next step to unlocking his game, and if he can do that consistently, Beamer will be a high level talent to monitor.
