The 6-9 senior power forward and Georgia commit plays with a ton of length and has a complete skillset where he impacts the game in a variety of ways. He has a smooth jump shot with his range that expands to the perimeter, especially when playing off the catch. He also has strong rebounding instincts, especially on the offensive end where he can keep possessions alive. Defensively, Newell plays with a ton of size, and when he has his motor high he can produce in a ton of ways.

Asa Newell, A 6-10 power forward is a true-gifted athlete who has the intangibles to become an NBA prospect. Newell is long and very explosive when it comes to finishing around the rim off the bounce as well as off the catch. His versatile skillset has continued to improve as he is knocking down shots more comfortably from the perimeter. He has increased his quickness as well for his size and is a dominate rebounder on both ends of the floor.

Newell has a bright future to be a NBA prospect as he can also stretch the floor knocking down shots from the perimeter. On the defensive end, Newell plays with a ton of versatility where he can defend the perimeter as well as on the interior getting timely blocks and rebounds using his length. Newell recently narrowed his recruitment down to four schools featuring Alabama, Georgia, Gonzaga and Texas.

showed everyone why he is such a big time prospect in the class of 2024. Newell’s length, athleticism, and skillset make him such an appeal to the best programs in the country. There are very few guys who can protect the rim better than Newell. Several times this weekend, he would come from the opposite side of the court to either block or alter a shot at the rim. On offense, Newell ran the floor really well in transition, and caught several lobs from his teammates. On occasion, he would also step out and knock down 3’s. Newell has all the tools, with an elite skillset to match.
