Tyndale had a breakout season for Montverde Academy, helping the Eagles capture the Nike EYBL Scholastic regular season title. The junior point guard averaged nearly 6 assists per game for Head Coach Steve Turner, showcasing his ability to run a team at a high level. He is a quick, skilled lead guard who is very comfortable with the ball, capable of scoring or facilitating. Tyndale is a solid perimeter shooter, a creative finisher in the lane, and competes defensively as a willing on-ball defender.

The floor general for the Eagles continued his strong junior campaign while helping lead Montverde to a championship run. Tyndale is a lightning-quick, highly skilled point guard who can impact the game as both a scorer and distributor. He is very comfortable with the ball in his hands, knocks down open shots, and shows creativity finishing in the paint. Tyndale also brings energy and playmaking on the defensive end, where his quickness and instincts allow him to disrupt opposing guards and change the momentum of games.

Javion is an electric playmaker who is super quick with the ball and puts constant pressure on the defense. He changes speeds effectively, breaks down defenders off the dribble, and creates advantages in the open floor and half court. As a passer, he shows excellent vision and unselfishness, consistently delivering lobs and high-level passes that put his teammates in position to finish above the rim. His ability to create and facilitate makes him a catalyst for the offense.

Best pure point guard at the Air Capital Hoop Fest! Has all the speed, quickness, and hops he needs at his size, plus he thinks the game; he doesn’t just play it. Javion was also, in my estimation, a top 5 overall Defender at the event. His on-ball defense, full-court, caused huge problems for Sunrise Christian, with them not getting the ball to whom they wanted to in the 2nd half of that game.

Rounding out my favorites from Days 1 and 2 of the Bojangles Bash is Montverde’s Javion Tyndale. Tyndale might not be the name people come to see for the Eagles, but he is as important to winning as anyone on the roster. He popped off the bench with lockdown defense when matched up with an elite playmaking Point Guard for Cats Academy (MA). Javion immediately stopped the flow of their offense by cutting off penetration and making passes from the perimeter more difficult to make. He is also a terrific passer who has tremendous open-floor speed, comfort throwing live-dribble passes with either hand, and great vision despite his size. Tyndale had 7 points, 4 assists, and 1 steal in the EYBL Scholastic win for Montverde.
